Pierre
St Jacques is a Grand Prix rider, trainer,
and instructor. Pierre has been riding and
training horses for over 20 years and began his dressage training
with Carol Lavell. He now regularly trains with former United States Equestrian
Team coach, Klaus Balkenhol. Pierre is known for his ability to successfully train
difficult, yet talented horses, and bring them to their full potential.
He is also known for his work with stallions.
In 2003, Pierre and his horse, Lucky Tiger, were 5th in
the Intermediare I
Championships and won a spot on the USA Pan
American Team. They went on to win the team gold at the
2003 Pan American games held in the Dominican Republic.
They were also the top placed US rider in the Intermediare
I. In 2003, 2004 and 2005, Pierre went to Germany and spent 3 month each
year training with Klaus Balkenhol, former coach of the US Equestrian team.
The success continued for Pierre and Lucky
Tiger in 2009 with wins at Grand Prix at the Zada Cup, Dressage on the
First Coast, and the Lamplight CDI. Pierre and Lucky Tiger were also
National Reserve Champions at Grand Prix at the Collecting Gaits Farm
National Finals in Gladstone, New Jersey. The 2010 season is starting
well for the pair, starting with being selected by the USEF to represent
the United States at the Exquis World Dressage Masters in February and
finishing 4th. Pierre and Lucky Tiger continue their work this year to
qualify for the Alltech FEI 2010 World Equestrian Games.
